so you had a typhoon motor, but now you don't?

It took me a few months just to get the thing registered into my name. I have been working on it slowly here and there. Most of the work has been detail things under the truck. Scraped the frame and painted it about 10 times, undercoated it, removed bumps stops etc. Just had the rear springs re-arched 1.5"'s and powder coated them. The tires are 33" BFG AT's, which will require some fender trimming to clear. Probably won't get too much done over winter, but I would like to at least get the motor done to go in early spring.

Not much done. I'm gonna call some machine shops around here to get the engine done. I want to get started on that pretty quick and get the drivetrain into it. I'm also going to take the front end apart, such as the torsion bars, knuckles, rotors, calipers, control arms and powder coat them. Then instal all new ball joints, polyurethane bushings, etc. Still need to have this thing on the road this summer for camping.

Here's the substage for it though. 4 Premier 3004's, 2 2500d's.

that hting is going to bump hard as hell

Decided to pick up a used rebuilt motor instead of rebuilding mine at this time. It has about 8,0000km on it after a full $5,000 rebuild. This is what it looked like after getting it home.

I might be able to test fit it this weekend. See if there is anything that needs to be changed. Still more to do to the engine, like power steering pump, alternator brackets (dual), clean up the carb, etc.

Shit dude, this is coming along ey! Looks great, cant wait to see it all finished! Have fun and good luck!
Slowly yes it is. It's way off from my original plan with it though. When it's done it will be pretty much new. I don't know how much it would have cost for all the powder coating that I've done. Probably a few thousand. I think it will be all worth it though since it will be a dd and should be reliable.
