Blazin Jason has a Blazer

a small block v8 in that blazer will be nice man. could easily turn into a cheap nice ride:).
Yea that's the plan. Although you can't plan for everything. Before it's on the road it will have the sbc, 3" body lift, new paint, and either 31's or 32's. I'm using this truck to practice body work and paint on. It will look way different then those pics once it's ready for the road.

Yuck! I already know that it's not a direct drop in bolt up type swap. You guys will see once it's done that it is easily achieved. =)

Spent a couple hours yesterday and today after work tearing it down. Couple of bolts and the front sheet metal is off. Looks like I need to go get a new driverside inner fender. It's all rotted to hell, due to a leaky overflow tank. The fender isn't all that great either. Has to get worse before it can get better.

You found a way to buy vehicles now without paying for them? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Not that I advocate scamming in any shape, fashion, or form but that's a pretty neat accomplishment!

Someone from a whole other forum meandered over here hunting you, Scott.

Seems that your scamming isn't isolated only here, eh?

Oh uh this thread is gonna get ot. He had a vehicle that he had written off recently and got paid out for it. I think he might also be getting a loan to cover the difference. But if he can scam a dealership to get a car without paying, then I think we all would want to know how to do that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Sorry for that, Jason.

I did read/look at your posts for this thread.

Good luck getting the 5.7L stuffed in there. Yes it can be done but I'm thinking it is much more labor intensive than you're expecting.

No, that ****** that was attached to the back of that 2.8L will not hold when fed the torque from your average 350cid.

That's a pretty common swap, though ~ Putting a V8 in an S10/S15 of some variety (whether it be a Blazer/Jimmy or a pickup)

There's a guy here locally that has an '87 S15 with a 383 stroker shoehorned into it. It's pretty intense for a small block //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Oh yeah it's definately not a cake walk. The 2.8 ****** is a different bellhousing bolt pattern so it doesn't work. So I pulled a ****** from a 4.3 blazer 3 weekends ago. I am going to have that rebuilt to v8 specs. Lots of people use stock 4.3 ******'s behind v8s with no problems. I understand how much work/money it will be. That's why it's a slow project and only do what I can when I feel like it, hah. The motor going in will be pretty much stock. Hone the cylinders, new rings, new bearings, and stuff like that. It already has a different cam in it. The motor is going to be coming out of my dad's old 71 van. It still get's 2nd gear rubber with over 300K MILES on it and runs strong.
