big3 (alternator-battery)

My friend insists to use a fuse between alternator-battery positive wire.. Is it a must for safety or just useless?

I will use 4awg in big3 and 4awg to amps, so in total 2 4awg wires in battery positive.. Do I need a aftermarket battery terminal, stinger maybe:confused:

I can't think of a good reason to...unless you have an alt that is capable of putting out more amps than the wire is rated for, or you're really worried about those wires finding their way to a ground somewhere, which should be **** near impossible if you secure them properly.

you dont "need" a fuse there, and you dont "need" new terminals.

it's preference like dman had said. personally, i run w/o a fuse there, and i have the same terminals as i did before the system went in. i choose to save cash rather than look pretty.

thanks for lightning fast responds:D

alt is stock and battery wont explode without a fuse right?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif thats why there is a regulator stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
