Sirius Satellite Antenna Wire repair

I have a TERK TRK-SR20S antenna that is connected to a Kenwood KTC-SR901 Sirius Tuner. This antenna is the older type that has two wires connecting to the tuner. Both wire have split near where they exit from the plastic concuit protuding out of the antenna which is causing intermittent loss of the signal.

These wire are not just normal wires, they are low loss coaxial wires which came factory terminated at the antenna.

My questions is whether anyone can tell me how to repair the cables sufficiently? I have tried electrical tape but I still lose the signal quite often and moving the wires around does seem to help for awhile.

you need a new ant. they shouldnt be spliced.

If you got skillz you can soldier them, but the best way is to buy a new antenna.

even if you puta good kink in a satt antenna, there done for, you need a new one.

it dosent matter what size of ant it is, usually the old school ones work better any ways. but the smaller ones do just as well.
