Big Little Install in my Audi A4

thanks all...

before i decided to build the kicks i looked in the door and even if you do get a 6.5 in the door the majority of the radiating area will be blocked off by the door itself as the grill is pretty tiny.

router right before i cut the hole

VERY clean install, props to you for doing things right.

Only "issue" you might have is with the tweeters as they MUST be on-axis or they ****. I run the same ones in my car and output is like 50% when they're off-axis, but maybe you'll get some reflections off the glass to help.

Interested to hear how the RS180/xt25 combo works out for you, so give some feedback when you have them dialed in...

i will try and remember to right a review once im done

enclosure is carpeted as you see here we finally got our order of spray glue at work today

there was a little dust that i missed when cleaning out the enclosure that blew to the front when i fired it up for a second....and btw the enclosure in the picture is upside down because i just kinda tossed it in to the trunk

and so everyone knows the carpet does not interfere with the flow of air whatsoever....if you use a 1/16" too small bearing on a roundover bit just right it will leave you a 1/16" lip in witch you can tuck the carpet if you are using trunkliner for it is 1/16" thick

thank you sirs and yeah i miss the a7 but the pdx5 is only a place filler until i decide on an audison lrx5.1k or a pair of he tru steel series amplifiers.

and the enclosure is 10" x 23.5" x 14.5"

ok the project just got much more interesting ...after a tad bit of listening to the sub alone with the factory system...im generally not pleased with the amount of processing power that the cda 9887 has so its likely on the way out with a w205 + h701 going in its stead.....if anyone knows what the dash of one of these vehicles looks like you know what an undertaking stuffing a double din into one is going to be...should be fun
