Big Box + Big Power = ?

What if I had volt meters an fans? An I'l do electric b4 I get into some gangsta shyt. The DH Platinum's are an eBay deal an dudes bring patient, so I have to get those first, my stock alt is 130a. I think that shud handle the zx350.4 and zxs1500.1 I already have. But now I'l get fat HO alt an 1 more DH Plat b4 I get the Q1-3500 or a beast of that nature.
If I read what you said correctly, why are you set on running at .5?

I'm just wanting all the power....but I get what ur saying. My original thought was I cud run the ZXS at 2ohm for 1500w then upgrade to a Q1-2200d an get 4000w at .5ohm but that was this AM, I understand more now. So I'll stick to a 2ohm load, i still get 2600w with the Q1-3500. That shud be plenty for 2 HDS315's, 4000w wud probably kill those subs anyway.

Running the 3500 at 2 ohms would work just fine. You should consider running at 1 though. Would be kind of a waste to get such a big amp and not run it at 1 ohm lol. You can always turn the gains down. If you really want a big dog amp like that, you could just wait a bit longer and get bigger subs. (HDC3's?) Otherwise just stick with the Q-2200. Run it at 1 ohm, 2200 watts would be plenty for those HDS3's.

As I see it now, il be doing a ladder effect type of system. Upgrading 1 part at a time. But as of now I shud be fine with 2 DH Plat 65's and a 130a on ~1800w total. Il upgrade to HO alt an another batt, then up the amps, up the speakers, up the box an so on....Thanx

Yea I'll start with 2 D2 HDS3 15'S on zxs1500 thn put them on the Q1-3500, then get 2 D1 HDC3 15'S an run the amp at 1ohm. After electric is par....

You can't get that from software. You get that from testing and that's only if you are doing a burp car. You don't want that in a daily setup.
Ok understood, but is there any information on websites or something that more or less say what tuning frequency is recommended for each application? Or there's just Standard tuning frequency's ranges?

No. You can layer a piece of deadener and it will change.

Tune low will be flatter, wider bandwidth, less overall output but consistent.

Tune higher will be peaky, less bandwidth, more output at a certain frequency.

I want blood shaking bass, from wat Iv read il need some strong 40's for that. U think 2 HDS315's in 9cu on 1500w tuned to 34hz will do. Or go with areo ports so I can adjust?

That comes to one with cone area and power. Theres only so much air 2 12's can move as opposed to 2-4 15's or 18's. Ive sat in 6 18 and that's what cane close to me as "blood shaking"

What vehicle? There are a lot of people on here that have done lots of testing with lots of vehicles that can get you close to the vehicles peak.

As far as what to do, 2 15s in that 9cft should be ok. Get d1s or d4s and run the aq2200 at 1ohm. With a 130amp alt and those 2 batts, shouldn't have electrical issues.

two nightshade v3 12's in a big enough box will give you blood shaking bass.

There has been many who think more subs=more bass, but in the end they shove so many in that they dont have enough space and not enough power.

You can have 1 15 (15s hit lower notes then 12s and 18s hit lower then 15) in the right box and hit a 150-154 on the meter with a daily spl box.

To the op you just have to research the subs you buy.. If you go cheap then dont expect too much, but if you go for the known hitters then youll need the electrical and the power to power them.

Also the above statement has been tested personally by me with 2 dss etho 12s. Made ear popping and hard to breath bass (in a truck).

I agree with you but he's trying to fit 2 soundqubed 15's in 9.5 before displacements, if he is running more that rated he can get away with it. But there are still many variables that have to be considered not only that he has 9.5 cubes and wants 15's, of all sub's soundqubeds. Again one system might have an opinion completely different from someone else. Again op is better off with 12's that 15's for the net space he has. Again. That's MY opinion. Feel free to chime in with yours
