Biamping and crossover questions

Ok I have a sax 100.4 set on full using channel 1/2 on my rainbow slc set. Here's a pic of the crossover. My hu is in my sig and it's 5v and I have my gain set at 5v too.

No for some reason the little corcle grey things and the yellow boxes and coil on the right tend to get very hot at high volumes. The big coil and coil on the left never get warm at all sometimes these things get extremely hot. Now my question is why is just one hot and is it supposed to get this hot? The crossover is supposed to have a shut off in case it gets too hot I thought and this has never happened.. The amp is supposed to put out 100 rms at 4 ohms and the crossover says 100rms so I don't understand..

Recheck your gain settings with a DMM.

With that amp you should be using the internal active crossover and bypassing that power robbing passive crap.....

I plan to but currently my sub is on channel 3/4.

with a highpass that only goes up to 2khz your going to be hating your tweeters

not with those tweeters he should not be

the gain could be turned down....but something along the lines of 50x2 would be better for the tweeters

cross them with at least 12db hp at 3.5khz

1000hz tone and plug dmm into channel 1 + - and get the power rating for 4ohm correct?

2k might work with a 24db or greater slope...im not sure how steep a slope is in that amp

What speakers do you have? What ohm load are they at the speaker wire input at the crossover? I assume 4 ohms so it would look like this:

Voltage = SQRT(Power x Resistance)

V= SQRT(100x4)

V=SQRT(400)

V=20.0

Use a 50Hz 0DB test tone to set at 20v on the outputs of what ever channels the comps are wired to.
