I am "connected" with RD still as i am still a dealertoo many variables as to what could have affected it...
plus you're using copper coils vs aluminum.
if you wanted to throw a bunch of power to them.... why not use aluminum flat wound coils?
also... since when were you not connected with RD?
Well i was under the impression that all of the HDC3's had Alum coils so far and the next batch would have copper coils.oh. kk
sorry for the off topic.
i think the biggest thing is be sure to use aluminum if you want to throw it alot of power.

When i talked with DJ on the phone i asked for Alum coils. They look copper but i actually have no idea. Copper = gold Alum = silver ?
Thats why i was kinda dumbfounded when they got here.

which one was mine?
also, you're right DJ was giving out the aluminum coils and thats what those were. supposedly its just the coating on them that makes them look copper. hey nate did you experience that noise i posted about from both woofers?
Noise went away after sub was broke in. After that everything was fine.
I didn't hear any noise coming from your sub tho
