too many variables as to what could have affected it...
plus you're using copper coils vs aluminum.

if you wanted to throw a bunch of power to them.... why not use aluminum flat wound coils?

also... since when were you not connected with RD?

Well i was under the impression that all of the HDC3's had Alum coils so far and the next batch would have copper coils.

When i talked with DJ on the phone i asked for Alum coils. They look copper but i actually have no idea. Copper = gold Alum = silver ?

Thats why i was kinda dumbfounded when they got here.

I was playing Jeezy Thug motivation 101 when the coils went that is @ 41 hz and 42 hz (what my box peaks at)

The Spider rip i didnt know happend until i pulled the sub outta the wall and see the spider disconnected

Noise went away after sub was broke in. After that everything was fine.

I didn't hear any noise coming from your sub tho

Getting in a little late on this, but this looks like it was played under tuning and or with a clipped signal. 3kw on any driver daily is risky,let alone excurting to the point of ripping the spider assy. I would not call this an issue with the driver,but more of a reference point of where it will fail under these circumstances.
