Beware AQ HDC3 Issues ??

Yes, He did have alot of power on tap, honestly, maybe the woofer can't handle that much daily?

Theres nothing wrong with that at all.

Still for the price and 2k+ rms is a **** good buy.

I don't know why people aspect it to handle sooo much.

DJ recommends 40hz+ tuning on his subs, the user tunes to 32 hz not to be an @ss but thats undertuning to me. Like I mentioned before to many variables as to why that happend. from what i understand DJ says to tune to 40hz because this will allow you to exaggerate the highs a little bit, as well as play under the tuning of the box because the suspension is suppose to be able to handle it and keep the driver in check. tuning to 32hz (assuming you're going to play rap, which i have seen him do) should of kept his driver in check as well IMO.

These are good woofers and they did get hella loud with a 151.2 without a whole tuning done.

And like i have said before I don't have very many songs that drop below 35hz. I am normally playing between 35-50hz

In all honestly with that much power daily it could have been problematic and could be one of the variables.

I have burped my hdc315 on 2200 watts for a str8 45 secs....... didnt even get hot, so to say that it can only take 2k daily I think is a little bit of an understatement.... A lot of ppl on here are running much more to them daily....one being ignoreme IIRC

Edit: this all done on a too small of a box..... tuned to 36

subs take more power longer in smaller boxes. so that makes sense that way. but from what i read it sounds like 3k is about the limit. yes some people can and cant run 3k on them because thier boxes are all different.

spider should have never ripped. ive played sub 20hz full tilt and never had a spider rip so u cant really say playing below tuning. if it rips its either a shitty spider material OR shitty assembly.

if u have a 4k amp on a decent electrical system u can say u played it on true 3k daily. or multiple 2k amps on one sub. impedence rise and voltage drop.

were the amps strapped?? or did u gain match them?

thats not a burp then, thats just a bad idea. Good thing your "2200 rms" is a made up rms rating, i would love to see the actual output of your amp. You have no idea what you are talking about.
