Better Nightlife: Toronto or Montreal?

me and my friends plan on going to visit Canada and was deciding if we should go to Toronto, Canada or Montreal, Canada. Anybody have any inputs to which place is better especially the nightlife (clubs, bars,etc)?

montreal is fun!!! and of course the main factor is the language issue as well.

granted both English and French is spoken there.. the predominant language there is French however.

There are a lot of areas in Montreal that you can visit where you don't need to speak a word of French. A few key French phrases and you should be fine.

In my opinion, there is nothing special about Toronto at all. It's just another big city. Montreal, on the other hand, is a real experience.

How about the nightlife of Toronto and Montreal? i read Montreal have a bunch of universities so i would think the nightlife and girls there are plentiful!

as for the part about there being certain areas where you dont need to speak French, I dont beleive a person needs to have limited places to go because French is spoken predominantly in other places..

Montreal is a great place..for sure lots to see and do...

bottom line is it all depends on what the OP is looking to get out of his visit...

buddy its summer time what does Universities have to do with anything.

as for nightlife it goes both ways.

and if you're basing partying and nightlife on whether there are universities around then you're definately in the wrong mindset.

Toronto's nightlife is off the hook.. no need for universities to be around in order to have that

well since you answered that.. universities and shit have nothing to do with the nightlife in Toronto.. not sure about Montreal but I would assume the same for them. Not sure how it is where you're from and maybe nightlife is contingent on whether there is a university or colleges around the area..

thats not the case in either MTL or Toronto
