Best Wire/Value for dollar

weld wire can also be ran along the frame of the car if done right..
my camaro is done that way cuz there was no way i was gonna be able to run 2 runs of 1/0 thru the interior in an all original classic w/o damaging the originality.
I have this done on my car... Although, I did put a length of pvc tubing down the bottom, and ran the wire through it. Better than catchin' **** on fire. :p

Welding cable is cheap because the thread count is super low. Ive used to knu CCA and if your strapped for cash and have to then use it otherwise NEVER use knu CCA. Its junk. However knu does have some excellent wire. Just make sure you get OFC wire and not CCA. Strand count does matter.
This.

Knu KLMX is dog ****. KCA is perfect for most people, handles 250A of current and is easier to use than the KLMX but requires more work than the Fleks or any other OFC cable. For people who don't need that extra 50A of current, the KCA will do just fine, if you are willing to do extra work when terminating the wire, etc.

Fleks is the **** if you can afford it, I can't though. There is also welding cable that has a decent strand count, the only problem is that ANY FLEXIBLE welding cable will cost just as much as Knu Fleks so why not have the best-of-the-best for the same price...

Saget is right. When your talking about DC it's all about the cross sectional area of the wire, strand count doesn't mean ****. The only time you see the "skin effect" (the current traveling on the surface of the wire) is when your talking about high frequency (AC) applications, which obviously doesn't apply for anything being discussed on this forum.

I've used CCA caraudio wire, OFC caraudio wire, and OFC welding wire and out of all of them I actually prefer the welding stuff. They make it appropriately sized so it's fits in the terminals properly and it's price per foot is better than the name brand OFC stuff. IIRC I got like 25' of 1/0 welding cable for like $1.75 a foot when it was on sale at weldingsupply.com
