I haven't purchased any amps yet so power will be decided once I figure out the requirement and as far as air space I'm thinking I can get up to about ~.75 cubic feet per sub. Because of the limited space I was thinking of building a sealed enclosure. If I go with something like the SA-8 I could go sealed or ported since they take a relatively small enclosure even ported.

I have heard the JL slim and the Memphis slim and both sounded good. I was told that both were in larger than spec ported boxes, so that may play into your install. The BM 2 is supposed to be incredile if you can find one and I heard that is more the issue so I would rule it out. to be honest unless mounting depth is really the issue, I would run mulitple small subs before going with a slim. 4 or 6 6.5" subs like the new DD's woud be the route I would go

Based on what others have said from the Tacoma forums I should be able to get around 5.5" - 6" mounting depth without modifying my back seat any...which I'd like to stay away from. Also, I don't really mind having something that alot of others have I just want it to sound good. I'm definately feeling the smaller subs over the slims, but like the idea of an 8" over more of a midwoofer option.
