Best Doube Din DVD Player for the money

One thing I've noticed in looking through double dins recently (now that I have a car than can use one) is that the Panasonic versions already have Dolby Digital 5.1 builtin, where most every other company makes you spend even more on an outboard processor.

Not much more than a Jenson or (shudder) Dual HU either.

If not buying now then I would save up and get either an Eclipse or Alpine. Saw a Kenwood the other day and I was impressed with it.

On the cheap Jensen.

But folks who buy the alpine usually get the H701 anyway

I dunno, I'm kinda bored with my Alpine 9851 and looking to upgrade...

Would I need a different wiring harness if I got an Alpine DVD player?

I was looking @ a D310. But there is some Jensen model here for around 350-400 DVD, touchscreen, so on. I highly doubt I'd get it but I didn't know the price of dvd recievers would cost as much as I paid for my CD/MP3 headunit.

Avic D3 great price lots of options.
I hear the navigation feature on that headunit can be quite a hassle. I'm not really looking for navigation but I'd love more control over my music than navigation. Double din or Flip-out will work.

Hey, been a while but I'm looking to get a DVD reciever also and I'm looking to spend around 600 bucks and I was wondering- since you guys no more than anyone on the planet about this stuff- what brand/model would be my best bet for options, DVD picture quality and user-friendlyness

-Thanks

I wouldnt trade my Pioneer 6800 6 disc indash DVD for anything right now. But I also despise Ipod and MP3 so the 6 disc was a HUGE selling point for me. The Kenwood stuff is absolutly amazing too, fantastic picture and probally the best user interface on the market in my opinion

JVC AVX-800 the best bang for the buck on the market!
I have one for sale in the classifieds, $450 plus shipping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It too has a built in 5.1 decoder with a center channel preout, all preouts are 5v too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
