Im looking to buy about 100 sq feet of sound dampening. My question is what is a good deadener that i wont have to worry about it peeling off? i was thinking about going with fat mat because of the low price but i keep reading that it doesnt stick well. my second option was rattletrap. who makes the best/stickiest sound deadener out there that wont break the bank?

For the stickiest stuff, don't go asphalt based. I mean they all have a tiny bit of it just to add mass, but those you listed I believe are roofing materials rebadged. AudioTechnix is running some good deals and that stuff is sticky. I got some on my garage floor and I'll be damned if I can get it off. The name of the game is #1 Don't go asphalt based. #2 get as dense of a deadener as you can (that is how it dampens the vibrations).

I can personally vouch for the AT deadener. I have the 60 mil and it worked great for me. A roll goes a long way as well. I did my entire hatch and my front doors and still have a bit left. Cant decide whether to use it in the rear panels or sell it

ive used dynamat extreme, rammat bxtII, and second skin damplifier

all are great products and DO NOT come off unless you really try, Even in the 110 degree summer

DO NOT go asphalt based if you are worried about it coming off

The worst I have used was edead 45. It came right off and was VERY thin, the foil was plastic.
