best deadener?

OP

You asked for the "best".

You also say that you need 100 sq feet.

The two requirements don't really jive from a performance stand point.

The product I pimp is called AlphaDamp.

Due to the ultra thick (and stronger temper) foil, you can use much less of it to get the same results compared to a product that has a foil that has a thinner foil.

Rough example:

The results you get with 100 square feet of product X, might be had with 20 sq feet of AlphaDamp.

Spread the 20 sq feet of AlphaDamp around onthe center of the flat surfaces and get the same (or better) amount of vibration damping than other products that are thinner, less reliable, and cheaper.

That being said, this concept works accross the board.

So if you look at fatmat, AT, eDead, Dynamat and the rest, the better the product the less material you need.

Even if you have 100 sq feet of area, you might not need 100 sq fee of product to get the job done.

Lol I hope Chris sell it to you soon, so it can fail and the excess members can spill over to other forums... again. When are you going to learn?
Last I checked, my forums are growing steady, and in the green.

rattletrap is made by fatmat, i've heard it is not great for parallel surfaces and can be kind of hard to use overall. I personally have used Fatmat's mega mat, it was pretty thick and stuck well (i used a blowdryer to make it more flexable) the rubber was a little messy. IMO- it isnt as good as dynamat xtream which i've also used... I hear great things about Second Skin over at diyma, supposed to be the best of the best...

I can personally vouch for the AT deadener. I have the 60 mil and it worked great for me. A roll goes a long way as well. I did my entire hatch and my front doors and still have a bit left. Cant decide whether to use it in the rear panels or sell it
Took the words out of my mouth.

It is sticky as all hell. And I get to deal with heat all year around in southern California. It' also easily molded and flexible. I've seen SecondSkin tiles peel right off like a fridge magnet. Those are my only two experiences and I can't speak for anything else. But it also depends on your budget. If you wanna go for best effectiveness for your dollar, that will refuse to come off, go for AudioTechnix. If you can afford paying a big premium for a bit more high-end product, check out SecondSkin or SoundDeadenerShowdown.

OP said best so I say second skin. If you really want the best you can get and can afford it.

Oh and I never ran away from CACO I got banned for Holocaust remarks.

oh and from ROE for saying the xcon isn't a sq sub, got to love that the **** sucker from SSA is a mod
