Best Cities/Places in the USA to Live????

Florida is nice. Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade counties are all extremely expensive, I should know, I'm a real estate agent down here :p The more north you go, pretty much the cheaper it gets. Hillsborogh/Pinnelas is a nice area, not too sure on the cost there, but there is definately a lot going on there.

San Diego FTW. Lived there for 2 years, then moved to boring *** Kentucky. Never a dull moment, rarely rains, 90% of the time there's good weather. If you wanna make the most out of it, make sure you're Asian or Mexican //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

You guys forgot to mention New Jersey along the lines, outragious in terms of cost of living, 2nd highest auto insurance rates in the country...hell we have the highest rates on everything...LOL and if we don't it's because NY took top honors.

In terms of everything else....I live 20 minutes from Manhattan..pretty much all 5 boroughs. There is always something to do and plenty to get into as well, whether it be social, cultural, you name it...we get a bad rap for being Jersey but hey WTF right?

You want common interest?...Don aka 6spdcoupe lives and works about 10 minutes away from my place of residence...3.5Max6spd works in the same friggin' building I do and I didn't even know it until I joined this site...talk about luck right?..not to mention all the others I'm sure I'll meet over the course of time...If you've got an interest we've got a group of people doing it.

san antonio, tx. where on $20-24k a year a person can have a fly new car, nice apartment in a good neighborhood, and low insurance rates as well as save 500-800 of that money for parties or mods. the town is laid back and groing in the computer and industrial arena. i have lived in galveston, houston, long beach, and austin and hands down still love san antonio over all. i can make $20k a year PT and still go to school FT and have nice things.

there's no nice part of san antonio lol. the only nice part is in the outskirts. i agree yes you can live cheap but not many jobs part time pay 20k a year. you're talking almost 1700 a month which for part time you're talking 20 bucks an hour. they are starting to grow computer industry wise but nothing like austin or dallas is.

not many jobs in most places pay that kind of cash for a pt unless it's like 30hr part time. i mean if you're talking 20hr a week part time, that's 21.25 an hour, not many jobs pay that. 20k full time is easy though.

I am telling you...if you like murder...crime....no cops...want to sell rocks...own an Ak-47 or an Uzi sub-machine gun....Detroit FTW...I'm still in shock they hosted the Superbowl here.....

ghetto cities ftw.. its always interesting in the hood..

I wish I had the cost of living in S. FL that I had when I lived in Austin. I paid less than 150K for 2400sqft on over a 1/2 acre in Pfleugerville(outskirts of Austin) and my mortgage was less than $900 month with taxes and insurance. I can't even find a comparable house for twice that amount. This is the first place I have lived where it is cheaper to rent on the ocean than to by inland. The housing prices here are outrageous, taxes are insane and increasing the state max yearly to build more roads and hurricane/homeowners insurance is the cost of your mortgage if you can get any. Sure you have the ocean but it rains almost everyday at 2:30 in the afternoon. Florida isn't all it's cracked up to be and I was born down here. The tourists/snowbirds can't drive and the nobody speaks English anymore(nothing against P.R.'s or Haitians, just learn the language). Not to mention that it's like heavens waiting room. I say the Carolinas or central Tx are the places to be.

they lied to the nfl. they actually had a mass cleaning crew go out and clean up all the streets before the superbowl. the suburbs are nice though. out there in oakland county is nice

see the thing about Oakland County is that it is in the top 3 for the richest counties in America....you got Woodward....you are on let's say Big Beaver or whatever and Woodward (not familiar with the West Side) you go down 9 miles...from the richest area in America to the worst city in America in only 9 miles down the same road...

I'm from Macomb County....some parts are nice...some are Mini Detroit....Warren...Eastpointe...Roseville...Mt. Clemens....to name a few have some bad parts escpecially Mt. Clemens....but not NEARLY as bad as Detroit...once you get out towards Shelby and Utica it's straight...Macomb is a nice looking neighborhood but it's so over run with drugs and shit it's ridiculous....but...I do love it here....
