Best budget 12?

First off, I don't want to inconvenience anybody too much so if there's already a thread about this somewhere, leave a link. I am looking to build a single 12 setup on a high school budget. I am pretty flexible in box requirements up to about 2.5ft^3. I'm looking for something around 400wrms between about $100-$125. I am only going to have it on 200 watts for a while (jbl gx-a602) until I upgrade my amp and move the old one to mids+highs. Anyway, I was looking at the soundqubed hds2.1, DC level 1, Sundown LCS, and Rockford fosgate punch p2. If anybody has any experience with these or other subs in this price range, let me know. Thanks.

you really need to let the folks know about the funky pups mayne... keepin that secret to yourself is just mean. you 'fraid that people might just shake their vehicles down to a pile of bolts or somethin?
It's part selfishness on my part because I want to hoard them but also a public safety issue, you wouldn't want to sit next to a car with so much bass that the next note could vaporize your car into a pile of dust and soiled underpants.

Personally, I'd find a used Sundown SA-12. B-stocks are $170. You can find them used for about $120-140. If you only use 400 watts then put it in the largest box you can fit. Spend and extra $50 on the amp and I think you'd be more than satisfied

On 400w the SA would be the least loudest in 2.5 at 32hz compared to XD1244, Ref 1270 and the cheapy Blaupunkt 12.  :banghead:
