I picked up 2 sundown audio sa-12 d2 looking for the best blow through set up? Also looking for an amp that will push them eighter at .5 or 2 ohm at final independence looking for something $500 and below. A friend suggested a hifonics colossus?

I'd look at running the subs @ 2 ohm. It will be more efficient and easier on an amp. You could look into a 2 ohm stable amp like Alpine or Kicker. You can purchase a 1 ohm stable amp that would give you the power you're wanting @ 2 ohm but you'll end up paying more for the power. What kind of vehicle is this going into? What are your max dimensions and what are your overall output goals? Depending on what you're looking to achieve and the room you have, you could run the subs in a 4th order or 6th order install.

You could get a 2 ohm Banda or Taramps amplifier. Efficient and cheap
