Hello everyone, I finally got the $600 or so dollars to buy my system for my 201 Blazer and I think I know what I want now but I just want to make sure with you guys that I got the right stuff here that will work together to give me the max wattage out of what I am getting. Here is what I am planning on buying all from crutchfield.com.

Head Unit: Alpine CDE-9842 CD player with built-in amplifier (16 watts RMS/45 peak x 4 channels) $89.99

Subwoofers: Pioneer TS-W301R 12" 4-ohm subwoofer power range: 50-150 RMS watts (800 watts peak power) $99.98 for 2

Amplifier: Profile HA1000 2-channel car amplifier 160 watts RMS x 2 $109.99

Front Door Speakers: Pioneer TS-G1641R 6-1/2" 2-way car speakers power range: 2-30 watts RMS (160 watts peak power) $49.99

Dash Speakers: Pioneer TS-G4641R 4"x6" 2-way car speakers power range: 2-20 watts RMS (100 watts peak power) $49.99

Mid Panel Speakers: Polk db690 6"x9" 3-way car speakers recommended power range: 10-100 watts RMS $99.99

Subwoofer box: Will build myself, dual sealed enclosure,

Amp Wiring Kit: Rockford Fosgate RFK10i 10-gauge amplifier power and signal wiring kit $29.99

Speaker bracket and harnesses: free from crutchfield

Chevy s-10 Jimmy kit for head unit: $12.99

GM wire harness reciever: $9.99

GM Antenna adapter: $9.99

I do have a couple questions also if anyone could help me.

1. Is this all the wiring and adapters I will need to install it myself or am I missing something?

2. Is this a good setup, meaning, will the amp push the subs to their full potential without overloading?

3. Do I need an amp for my dash, front, and mid speakers or not? and also should i buy bass blockers for the front, dash, and mid?

4. While on crutchfield they said I have 4x6's in my dash but then while checking out it says they will not fit in my truck, so I went back to look at others and it says none of them will fit, so is this an error on their part or will none of their 4x6's fit in my Blazer.

5. Lastly, Will I be able to set up all 6 speakers to my head unit even though it is only four channel?

Thanks in advance for anyone that answers any of my questions, I don't expect everyone to answer every question I have but any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

1. Seems like you have most of what you need. I would definately shop around and get better prices than what you have found at Crutchfield. In your price range you gould bet a bit of a beefier system IMO.

2. Your amp is fine with those subs. Personally i would go with the AP1000 series instead. Same price at ikesound as your ha1000.

3. I would definately get another amplifier for your mids. Do you mean "bass blocker" as in something to take the lows out of your mids and highs? well,, yes and no. If you get an amp for those speakers, you can use the internal HPF. If you run off your head unit, i dont believe it has a hpf so you will have limited xover capabilities.

4. i dont know what fits in your blazer. Take out a speaker and look at it.

5. look at #3. I wouldnt.

skip the two sets of front speakers. just get seperates for the same price $100 for TS-C1653. You can then put the woofers in the door and the tweeters in the dash. Then down the road you can always upgrade and get away from the HU power. Or, do as everyone says and shop around and with the money you save, buy a 4ch amp for satellites. since you have the part numbers, do a froogle search which shows you the prices. Then get everything from one store //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif also try http://www.etronics.com I have had great luck with them, I order on monday morning and have it but tuesday afternoon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But i dont think you get a factory warrantee with them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
