before the big 3 maybe?

i had a 150amp fuse in my 4awg for 4 months wit no problems and i played my sounds daily;)
No offense, but that doesn't mean anything.

The fuse is there to protect the wire in case it shorts against the chassis...too high of a fuse, and you might as well not have one on there.

Not to mention that if you're actually sending 120A+ of current through 4awg, the voltage drop you're getting at the amp is probably unacceptable...unless you have a five foot run of wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
