I came home this weekend to find this beauty in my room!

It's drying right now. Hopefully it will hold pretty well. I don't have the enclosure built for it yet but I should in March when I'm down for spring break.

Right on.... Where did you get it that the surround was coming off?
yeah, I was wondering that too. I'm looking at the ID subs for my setup, and would like to know, to avoid that delema.

Nice fix though, with the addition of screws it's unlikely you will run into any problems.

Oh, this was not a problem from ID; don't be afraid to buy their stuff. I should have explained. My friend sold the sub to somebody and it was damaged in shipping. My friend refunded the kid the money and got the sub back. He then got reimbursed from UPS and then sold it to me for $50 shipped with the CA glue. Pretty **** nice deal if you ask me. The glue has tried most of the way, if not all, and it looks pretty solid. It should be fine and if not, I'll figure out a way to get it to work.

The sub is in beautiful condition; my friend really took of care of her.

Looks nice, never a fan of those baskets but its all about the performance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That was a joke... I used the CA glue from parts express. It is meant for these applications and is very easy to work with.

The glue held very well and I can't even tell now where I glued it. I'm going to be throwing it in 3 cubes tuned to 28hz with about 100 watts... it should sound horrible! We'll see. I'll get vids if you all want...

Well I got it in the enclosure and wow.. I'm really impressed with it in 3 cubes. It still has decent upper frequency extension and nice transient response. I can't wait to get it in a real enclosure.

I have some book shelf speakers, the IDQ, and the 6.5" mid in the horn all hooked up right now. The IDQ and the horn blend so well it's amazing. The IDQ starts to fade out around 70hz and the horn picks up the slack perfectly. The horn has always been perfect with these book shelf speakers as well. My room sounds amazing right now.

Right around 40-50hz there is a slight peak with the horn hooked up though. The IDQ doesn't have the low end that my av12 has but it's very nice sounding. The horn is getting about 25 watts while the IDQ is getting about 100. The book shelf speakers (3 of them) are getting about headunit power.

Right now it's in a spare enclosure I had sitting around. It's 3 cubes tuned to 28 but it's no where near optimal. I would do about 1-1.2 tuned to about 30hz or so. I'm going to be trying it out in a transmission line enclosure in a couple weeks.
