Alright everyone i read the "Big 3 sticky" and some link's to it i found on here. but right now i have 4 awg tsunami wire a 150amp anl fuse running for the system it's 800 to each sub , and just got a custom 165 amp alt built and i put in . here's my question when i accelerate my headlight's get brighter if i don't accelerate they dim:uhoh: would the "Big 3" help with that i know in the sticky would help with headlight dimming but is there something maybe i could try before i do the "Big 3". Or should i just go and do the big 3 ?

Oh alright Thank's JimJ , so it's kinda normal then ? so just go along and do the big 3 i gotcha i will be sure to take pic's also. thanks for the information man.

It can't hurt things...

4awg and a 150A ANL fuse sounds like a major safety hazard to me, though...that 4 gauge is going to get pretty hot before that fuse even thinks about opening //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Maximum fusing I'd feel safe about running on 4awg is 100A. 150A is solid 2awg territory.

do got another question for my alternator ground to chasis right now it's just like 16 or 18awg wire for that . would it be better if i used a lower guage wire like 6 or 8 awg would it make a diffrence?

haha oop's so it is sorry was re reading the BIG 3 sticky again just saw that. then i'll do that 2 morro then ill just have to wait till i get cash enough so i can get another fuse and more 4 awg to run the rest.

i had a 150amp fuse in my 4awg for 4 months wit no problems and i played my sounds daily;)

hey guy's was wondering if i took 18 or 16 awg ground wire w/e it is from the alternator negative which is grounded to the chasis would i be better to take that off and use 4 awg power cable and ground that to chasis? please respond as quick as you can im going to work on my ride outside in a couple mins.

i was honest , but do have a question when it say's use the negative to the battery's chasis do i take off the stock ground wire that's on the negative or do i just use the 4 awg wire instead and switch it out i read the sticky and everything but i don't want to screw this up.
