before n after pics, weight lifters...

lol that was great...

But yeah, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey Protein for anyone looking to gain lean muscle mass. Best tasting, and one of the cheapest proteins I've ever had, and I've tried em all in the past two years I've been doing this. You don't need all the extra b*llshit that they throw into the protein mixes. It messes with your stomach and you won't see ridiculous gains for the price you pay. I got a 11 pound bag of ON's 100% whey for 36 bucks on sale at GNC this weekend. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The sad thing is before my layoff of working out I was benching 230 and now that i started lifting again Im back down to 170 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif so its like starting all over again, but than again I didnt lose much muscle size. Starting again I get those post workout pains again which I missed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i am a fatass, i enjoy my steak and shake and chicken lo mein. im not too worried about losing weight. i really dont care what people say about me.i wouldnt mind losing some weight, but id rather be healthy.
Healthy and fat don't exactly go together.

Heres a comparison (not great before pic, or after, but you get the idea) of when I was 120 lbs, and a somewhat recent pic of me around 165. Within a year I went from 120 to 176, and cut to 160-165 which is where I'm at now. On flat bench I went from benching 25 pound dumbbells, and the last few weeks I'm up to 100's for 8 reps. Been using whey protein, casein protein at night, and sometimes I'll take Superpump 250 for extra energy.

How the hell did you get 10lbs for 36 bucks though. Best price I have ever found there was 5lbs for $30. Thus I order all my stuff online.

Do the cycle i told joo about last night

Ya, I think I'd go nuts if I had to stop for a while. Your body releases the same neurotransmitters when you work out that are released while taking certain drugs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif hah which is the reason some people get so addicted to it. I know I am now...

As for a program, I just basically went 4-6 times a week, 4 times only if I really couldn't make it on a busy day. I would switch it up to work the same muscle groups together, Chest/triceps, back/biceps, and then legs. Also to make sure you work your shoulders as well, I mixed in chest/shoulders or back/shoulders days. Always gave myself 3 days at least before working out the same muscle group. Take a banana and some gatorade before you work out for some high glycemic index carbs (quick absorbing energy, anything with wheat or fat in it will break down slowly and you'll be sluggish). Take your whey protein shake after your workout as soon as you can, and then within the next hour try to have a meal with some more carbs and lean protein (chicken/turkey). Also, when you wake up in the morning, have a shake immediately to help stop the breakdown of your muscle that happens overnight to repair/rebuild other parts of the body. I dunno, thats just a few basic tips I guess of what I did... its mostly about the work you put in to it. I've been going 5 days a week for 2 years now, so you see results with consistency.

how tall are you redline... and what was the length of time in between those pics
5 foot 9, and the length of time is about 2 years i'd say. First pic was taken at the end of my first year of college (in my 4th year now) and second one was taken this past summer. I was actually skinnier than that first pic before I started working out a year and half ago, because i was going through some bad times/depression and not eating much. Thats when I decided I needed to make a change.

PS - Hah the new owner of the GNC near me hates me cause I'm a future pharmacist, and ask WAY too many questions cause I don't like getting bull$hitted about the products I'm buying //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif So as soon as I walked in this weekend he got me exactly what I wanted, discounted the 11lb bag even further than it was with the gold card sale, and got me out of the store ASAP. Nobody really buys ON 100% Whey near me. Their loss. Vanilla Ice Cream and Extreme Milk Chocolate = *drool*
