Beefy 10" recommendations

I use Winisd as well. I'll plug those in after dinner and see what I come up with. How much power?

Using a hifonics colossus at 4 ohms...will be 2200 watts once I get my new battery and singer alternator (both on their way).

Also, no worries if you use WinISD as well. I will certainly toy with it this week in preparation for this weekends box building adventure part 2.

Alright. I'll holler later.

Interesting, I'll play with WinISD as well and see what I get. I appreciate your help!!

Id do 1.25 tuned to 35.. just me though. Larger box will peak more around resident frequency.
Thanks, I'll play with WinISD this week to figure something out!! I appreciate your input!

Yeah check it out. The t/s listed aren't complete so I just allowed winisd to fill in the blanks. At 1.25 @35hz it modeled up very peaky.

I had a look at it in depth

Its def a small box woofer. .8 is much more ideal but i feel lowend will suffer drastically. With the mms fs and rms i wouldnt tune much lower than about 34..

Also i always fill out the compensation for coil temp. I normally use 300 degrees as an average

Thank you! I have not had a chance yet to mess with WinISD...but if it is truly a small box woofer, maybe I have jacked something up. I will look into it again when I get home. It just seems like there should be SOME bass with the subs, not zero bass...even with such a small box.

So after got home for work, I decided to give the sub woofers one last look before building a whole new box. What I had discovered upon pulling the subs out, is that one of the speaker wires got pinched off due to so little clearance. If you notice from my pictures, I doubled the baffle, and I believe the speaker wires hit that since the sub is so stout! What I had to do when putting the subs back into the enclosure this time is get the wires as flat as possible against the subwoofer so they wouldn't get pinched off.

I'm happy to say that this set up is amazing, and works great!! I'm definitely happy with these subs and how well they perform in such a small enclosure.
