i have two potential builds (since amps they might be the same electrical wise, im jsut checking)

4 alpine r's off of a aq3500d

4 re se off of a aq3500d

on a stock electrical (ill do big three) 135a alt. i really want to avoid a ho alt. so how many batts/size do you think ill probally need?

batt's CA should = amp current draw. So you'd want at least 3500 CA coming from your batts. for example, a kinetik HC 1400 + hc2400 = 3800CA so they would cover you (2 2400's would be better tho)

Ok check this out, instead of spending 600 dollars on batteries, buy one battery, and then buy a 250 dollar alternator. "It takes power to make power". You can get 250A alternators from DB Electrical for around $250 shipped with a 1 yr warranty.

I tried a db electrical alternator and it was a joke, might as well just save 50-100 and go to a local shop and get a boosted rewind thats all it was.

actually its not CA it is watts. CA is not an audio term or a very user friendly one for the fact that CA is a load that runs a battery down past 10v almost instantly and the test in now way was ever intended for car audio when it was set up in the early 1900's. Kinetik's model number is watts of actual support.

They state that it will do 120A at idle IIRC. A rewind wont do much for you at idle.

they state that but it will prob do around 90-100 at idle.

Figure a battery upfront stock or w/e. Then for the back pick up two solid batts. Something like a deka, or the best way to go for price and **** good batteries hard to beat stinger spv70. I am running around 2k watts on stock alt, big 3 gold duralast upfront and one spv70 in the back drops to around 13 volts at full tilt at idle

so do you think two of these (or even one) would probabbly work?http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=384756

i might get a new car in 10 months so i dont want to buy an alternator
Those things are HUGE //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

From others here on the board, they say they are good batteries. I don't have any personal experience with them though, so I can't vouch for them.

My best advice would be two group 31 batteries of your favorite brand. I have a Kinetik preference, but other brands should work fine, like Deka, XS, Odyssey, Stinger, Hawker, and some others. I would personally avoid Optima and Batcap.

how about like 2 deka 9a31's

think that would run 3500~ daily on a 135a alt? or how many? im getting a new car ilater on in the year so i dont want to have to buy an alt then resell it, batteries can transfer over

I think they would do fine for that setup. There have been a few people saying negative things about Deka reliability issues, but to be honest, I think they are fanboys or people who work for another battery company that are just trying to spread some hate. I have never personally seen anyone who ran them have any issues.

i also heard powermasters are good.
I was reading today on another forum that Powermaster does not really make batteries. Scottie from XS said that they are not really owned by Powermaster and XS is it's own company. So if you are talking about XS Power batteries, then yes, there are many people who run them. However, on most of the competitor forums, you will find that the guys who do this for a living, prefer other brands. I think they are fine for daily drivers, but their prices are much higher than other brands that are just as good, if not better.
