well this morning when i get in my jeep to go to school i started my jeep and the little message screen said "check battery" so i figured my battery needed to recharge so i kept my system off and just ran the radio cuz i have a switch for the amp. my question is should i take my battery out and recharge it or just not run my system for a few days to let my battery to recharge?

i don't listen to my music a ton when the car is off. my alt i think is 90 amps.

i just don't want to be stranded some place. it takes ten minutes to get to school, then ten minutes home. i heard that it takes like 15 minutes at highway speeds to recharge ur battery from the juice it took to start the car. so another thing i am wondering is if my battery has enough time to recharge? thanks in advance.

If you have a regular car battery charger, watch the amps on the meter. If the battery is drawing like 4 or 5 amps while charging, you might wanna consider replacing it.

If it draws little to none, the batt is fine just charge it.

This is what I would personally do because you can find out if your battery is gonna die soon.

well the battery charger was set to put in 2 amps. i left it on for a couple of hours and worked just fine. my screen in my jeep doesn't say check battery anymore.
