Battery in the trunk...

OK so ive got a couple questions about installing a battery in the trunk of my car. I am planning on having either 2 or 3 12" cvx's installed very soon but I am leaning towards two mainly because I already have two and the amp will be really expensive for three and i dont have the money right now. but they would be powered by probably hifonics bxi2006d, but i dont think my 2003 taurus will even come close to putting out anywhere near that amount of power seeing that my lights dim already off my L7 with a us amps xt2000d... If could give me the basics on how batteries are installed in the trunk or lead me to a thread that does.. thanks for the help

put battery in back. Run 1/0 main and ground from your battery in the front, to the batt in the back. Then, wire your amp or amps, directly to the batt in the back....

If your plannin on playing music with the car off alot (say in a parking lot) then I would look into gettin a relay. There is a slight drop in voltage (.2-.4) but it ensures that your main battery doesnt get drained while the car is off. Also if your gonna be running 2 different types of batteries this is a good idea because different battles fight to contain a constant voltage when the car is off, but one usually wins and the other one dies.

Is it really that hard for people to figure out how to wire up a battery in the back? Or is it just me that thinks this is so simple?

Anyways, hope everything works out for you.
