battery dying

i have a 2nd 12v battery for my amp and recently it stopped producing 12v ( ive only had it for 4 months) i figured something was pulling power while the truck was off or it wasn't charging correctly. it could be a charging issue. i also took it out and charged it to 12v and i watched it slowly die down to 6v with nothing connected. no power. my wiring configuration was 1 fused power wire coming from front battery to back, rear battery grounded to chassis, and a power wire fused from the 2nd battery to amp. if you have any questions please ask i need help. Thank you!

If the battery is dropping to 6v with nothing connected its a bad battery.

i recharged it and left it overnight and it only dropped to 11v, is there anyway I could've done something wrong to where it killed the battery? thanks for the help btw

im not sure if its in parallel or series if I am being honest, do you have an example. thank you!

Bring it to an auto parts store. They will charge it and load test it to see if it is bad or not.
