Battery coice

I have a Kinetik 600 in my trunk. I am running a Memphis Mojo 16MCD4KW. I cant turn it up for more then a couple seconds before my voltage drops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif , and i turn it down.

My question is, If i get rid of the Kinetik and put two or three regular(cheap) car batteries, would this help my voltage problem or not? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I have a VERY LIMITED BUDGET, a HO alt is on my list when i get the money:greedy:.

Thank you

0 awg wire front to back, deep cycle battery upfront and deep cycle in the back and ef. big 3 in 0awg. That kinetik 600 is too small.

I have 2 runs of 4g run front to back, 0awg big 3, Optima up front. I know the Kinetik is too small, but i dont know if one more deep cycle would be enough.

get rid of the 4 gauge. welding supply has 2/0 gauge wire for less than $3 per foot shipped. 2 runs of 4 gauge is not going to carry 400 amps of current. IDK if 1 more optima in the trunk will be enough for 4k. Maybe 2 or more optima's if you want to keep the batteries the same. I would go with 2 kinetik hc2400's. I haven't actually used that amp but I heard it was current hungry and 4k is alot of power to be running without proper battery support or wiring. Not trying to be a dick, but there is no use having the amp if you cant afford the electrical to support it, you are either going to smoke that amp or your alternator which ever comes first.

X2. One of my buddies ran 2 hc2400's on 2 4kws and it was ok on burps but he had to watch it on daily (couldn't leave it turned most of the way up for more than a minute). Being that you are short on alt power you would need a bigger battery and more than likely a good charger. Group 31 batteries be it kinetik hc2400, optima g31, Odyssey pc2150, Deka 9a31 or xs d3100 would be the smallest I would add and honestly I would more than likely run 2 of them. The hc600 is too small for that.

I would also lean towards AGM based batteries as they charge/discharge faster than flooded batteries, and do not leak acid like alot of flooded batteries. Flooded batteries are also prone to needing vented battery boxes. If you decided to run 2 extra larger batteries you might be able to get away with 2 smaller batteries like 2 kinetik hc2000 or 2 odyssey pc1750 and save ~$50 or more vs 2 group31 sized.
