THE WHOLE THING!!!
My truck has yet to burst into flames.Bish you must not know much about batteries then. Normal flooded batteries expel hydrogen and oxygen gas every time they are charged. Not over charged. Every charge. Therefore, one little spark and you get a fire. If you don't see why that is a hazard, you might want to rethink living.
I have a big normal battery right next to my fuseblock.
I change fuses all the time when I compete in MECA (and they usually spark), no flames present.
Perhaps I'm just lucky, but I've had 4 other competitors on my team that ran the same batteries without incident.
For one competition, I see no harm. Besides, even if they are venting fumes, they are venting into a big cabin that is constantly having the air circulated by the subwoofers.
Now, if he starts charging heavily with the vehicle sealed up for a long period of time, then for some reason something sparks, THEN I could see something happening. A lot of things would have to be perfect for something bad to occur.
