Battery Brains I could use your insight Plz

I know my batteries, but im not totally a genius with them.

Now my family owns a big trucking company for the oilfield, and we have two crates full of these batteries BNIB, now I could use however many I want for a day at a comp.

Now I need your help as to tell me if the battery is an okay battery to use

i would think they would be fine. are you going to run them inside the car/truck? if so then make shure they are sealed.

You would be much better off with their CB31-AGM model. The model you gave is a flooded battery and is not safe for use inside the cabin of a car or trunk. The AGM model would be safe and would also give you more power as well.

Then again, I have no idea how much they charge for these things, so you will have to be the judge there.

My theory is, any battery is better than no battery

Just don't overcharge them or kill them and you'll be fine.

A teammate of mine has had normal lead acid batteries in his car for a couple years without any problems.

Hell, there's one in my truck right now.

Enlighten me as to why his car would burst into flames. The only reason the batteries would leak fumes is if they are overcharged, just like a sealed battery would.

Bish you must not know much about batteries then. Normal flooded batteries expel hydrogen and oxygen gas every time they are charged. Not over charged. Every charge. Therefore, one little spark and you get a fire. If you don't see why that is a hazard, you might want to rethink living.

That doesnt make sense..... if that kind of battery is under your hood..... it would explode indefinately

Under your hood is not a confined space. There is plenty of airflow to dissipate the gas.
