bandpass conversion???!!!???

my friend has just agreed to loan me his RF punch z 12" , his bandpass box, and his jensen 350 watt amp to put in my car... could i convert the bandpass into a sealed box by taking the plexiglass off and sealing the port holes??? id much rather not have a bandpass box any suggestions???

well im only gonna be using this sub for like a month, 2 max... so would that work temporarily and sound better than using the un modified box?
