Quick connect?

Here is a question.. I'm putting my system in a ZR2 Blazer.. and I plan on taking the truck off-road on occasion.. and when I do that I just might be air-born once in a while.. not something that's good for amps and speakers, I'd bet..

So, here is the question.. How would one go about making/getting/using quick connect/disconnects for the power wires to the amps? I can probably find a way to make semi-removable speaker boxes but would have to un-wire the amps to get them out..

Can one quick connect power wires? or would that be too much of a weak spot in current flow.. or are there special 'tight' connectors that would work?

TIA for any info..

Yes, they make such a thing. And they make them fairly heavy duty. Check out http://www.partsexpress.com

I forget what the name of the part is, so you'll just have to look around their website or give them a call. I think that the connectors have a light blue plastic housing. Hope this helps ya.

Thanks for the suggestion.. I wasn't able to 'easily' find connectors that might work..

But, I think I have a simple solution anyway.. I'll mount the fused Distro block right over the seam on the removable amp board.. Once it's mounted/positioned, I'll cut it in half.. 1/2 on the amp board and 1/2 on the 'frame' board.. The fuses bridge the gap there anyway, so as long as the distro block boards can't move relative to eachother, it should be fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks for the suggestion though..

Yeah, I can't find gold connectors anywhere online anymore. Amazon Canada only carries brass or "red" copper. I was gonna get the Glark's set with...

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
