Bandpass box for crappy looking 12's

I've got two Rockford Fosgate P1's laying around that I aquired in a trade a few months back. I'm thinking about building some order of a bandpass box for them. Any ideas of a good one? Can someone reccommend a design?

if the look crappy a 4th order is nice as you can hide them

Bandpass enclosures are hit and miss, make sure whoever designs it - it isnt there first rodeo.

Also, remember it's a pain in the *** to take the woofers out if you blow one, so be careful.

Enjoy though, there are great gains to be had from a bandpass.

Ya a 4th order can hide the subs. But is building that kind of box really worth putting those subs in? If you got the wood and extra time, id do it myself too. But wouldnt spend money on wood for them honestly.

I've got about a 4' by 6' sheet of 3/4 mdf laying around that I was going to use, this is my first bandpass box and was just going to experiment on the design/construction with these subs. Not investing any serious money in it lol

Ah its a good idea then. I would go ahead and do it too then. Should be fun

I use a real old enclosure for 2x8" punchs that rockford used to make. No idea what its tuned for or any specs of any sort because not even rockford has any documentation for it anymore. Love it though. Feel it in my chest going 70 with the windows down in my astro van =P.

I can take some pictures of it if you want, its kinda an odd box but has a great build quality - was gonna take it apart and fix some wiring soon anyhow.

Just go 2 cubes sealed, 2.5 ported, 50in^ of port 17" long. Design works great for just about any 12s. People have been building that same exact box for 2 12s around here since the late 80s when Steve Cook designed it.
