audioque sd2.5 vs type argh?

I have a friend who is looking to upgrade her subs. She presently has 2 kicker com vr 12’s, and a Kenwood 550watt rms amp. she blew one of them and would like to upgrade. At first I suggested alpine type r’s, but then I thought of two audioque sd2.5 12’s because they are around the same price and would have a warranty when the type r’s wouldn’t. she will eventually be upgrading to a 1200watt rms amp as well. I’m just wondering, if both are in the optimum enclosure do you think the sd2.5’s would outperform the type r’s? would they be louder? Sound better? Or both? i guess im calling out anyone with experience with these sd2.5's... thanks

i got 2 sd208's off 800rms and they wang hard enough for some of my friends to think they were a pair of good 10's or 12's...

i imagine 2 2512's would rock her world real good...i'd give it at least a good 600rms to each...i'm willing to bet they could take up to 1000rms easy...

type r's get loud i owned 2 12's before and there were actually decent bump for cheap, although the sd2.5 are cheap as well they got louder. at least in my app it did

ive only heard the single 12 off of 3200rms firing forward without sealing the trunk, and it was loud as hell... within the next couple days ill have both 12's in and the trunk sealed, but only running off of 1200rms for the pair as my goliath blew.. so an orion 1200d is subbed in until i get it back, but my guess is they will still be pretty **** loud... ill let you know..
