There are many differences in the way you set them up, the tutorial is a good rule of thumb in the amp section on this forum and is a good starting point. Im into mainly spl in which a little distortion is good because it helps the numbers. Plus some amps have tricks to them where you can set them up to get the most out of them but it takes alot of testing to find them. Ive used the Ats for about 3-4 years now and they are all pretty similar on how you set them up. Dont forget that just because you have a 1ohm load on your subs, using this as an example, that your amp is seeing 1ohm load because its not because of rise. Most people like myself try to get to that 1ohm reactive load to get the most out of the amp, most reputable (sp) buildhouses test there amps at the reactive load at the voltage they list. Personally for me it was .375ohm to 1 amp to come very close to that 1ohm load. Many times people by a 1ohm amp and buy a dual 2ohm sub thinking there getting the most power out of the amp in which they arnt because of rise. Rise is the devil!!!!I think that your gains need to be set as the amp is rated. If its rated for 5000 watts at 1 ohm I think that gains should be set to 70.7 volts no matter if you have a 1 ohm or 2 ohm load on it. If im wrong then I'm sorry but that is how i normally set mine and ive never had an issue. good luck.
