I tested a Atomic 5k and it did very well powered by a PM D3100 against my Stetsom 7kd. The Atomic 5k should have been around 1db stronger than the 2k6d. There is the possibility that you have reached your compression limit of the sub in your enclosure but unlikely. I've given a single 12 DD 9912 3k and then 5k and it gained 1.4db. Give it that I had a different enclosure than you so it's hard to compare. But you shouldn't have reached compression on that DD 15 yet. Unless the suspension is very very loose from breaking in and you could actually be loosing control. How is the suspension feel? Should still be tight and not bouncy. I've had a suspension break down on a DD before. You loose spl big time with not enough suspension or worn out suspension. That's why when I order or recone DD's now I always get Extra stiff suspension. I have yet to have extra stiff to break down with hundreds of burps on them at over 3k a burp.
