2k6 is rated for 3000 @ 2 ohm on 13.8 volts. I clamped it doing 2924 @ 0.95 ohm on 12.3 volts on a 0.5 ohm nominal load (same dual 1 9515)

Third person to mention the generation. What is the difference between the 2 generations? Is this one terrible?

They say the 2kd will do 4kw?? i dont know if it will for sure, but the 2nd gen AT5000.1 is alot better amp then the 1st gen AT5000.1, stronger and more reliable, the 2nd gen has 44 caps and 4 torroids vrs, the 1st gen with 36caps and 2 torroids! The 1st gen will do close to rated power, and the 2nd gen will do over rated power for sure, as thats been tested!

1st gen have 2 transformers on the power supply as with the 2nd gen has 4 transformers (dont know if thats the correct word for the part) Anyways your at .5ohm with box rise you should be around 1ohm or a tad higher with your burp tone trust me I have played with both generations as well as the 7k set it to 73-80vac with using 3vac first with bass boost.

I always called them torroids, or how ever there spelled, but yes transformers!!

gen 1s had problems with strapping so if you dont strap it, it should be good to go.

x2 ran 2 7ks as well as 2 2nd gen 5ks and the AQHDs on the 2 1st and 2nd gen 5ks
