Hi,
I need to build a box or buy one for my new 10" Assassin. I'd prefer not to buy a box for four times as much as I paid for the sub...I'm hoping I will be able to do a downfire setup. In such a setup would it be ok to have the opening pointed towards the rear of the cab? or both front and rear? Or should it be pointed towards the door and hump in the middle?
Now a friend has Cad (and knows it well) and a wood shop and has offered to help. Another friend of mine knows how to work with fiberglass and has offered to help. So I think I'm covered there.
What are the best software programs to use when designing a box and where can I download them?
I'm not sure if I want to go sealed or ported yet but I'm definately leaning towards a sealed enclosure.
I'm going to have a hell of a time even getting the sub to fit under the seat, theres only about 6 inches of clearance towards the rear, so the sub will have to be angled in the box and I may have to use thinner MDF on one side of the box.
Also it costs me a fortune in gas to go out of town to get the help, so I'm hoping to do it in one weekend ($70 in gas for each weekend it takes.)
Any Help is greatly appreciated.
