AQ 1200D problem..

ok heres an update, i went out to my car this morning and the amp wasnt working, i looked and the amp was NOT in protect mode, yet it still wasnt putting out any power, i took out the DMM and no voltage was being pushed out at the speaker terminals however the amp was reading 14.2 at the amp, and the RCAs were reading voltage from the HU.

yeah the power light lights up, i tested the REM wire and it said like 13.xx so i figured that looked weird so i tested voltage at the amp and it said between 15.xx and 16.44 which didnt seem right so i tested at the batt and i got the same results so i shut the car off and it went to 15.54 so my DMM must be off.. yes i did ac voltage, its a junk one from wal mart

check the ground at the amp ohm it out should be very minimal i think its going to have to be sent in vibration issue..

Test it on another sub or speaker.

Doesn't matter what ohm reading at amp and box is, take them out and measure each coil.

If it does same thing with another sub than you ruled that out

Try making a jump cable from your + in ur amp to ur remote to see if that makes a difference. I had a problem once with my remote wire being lower than 12v. Since the DMM might read wrong (2 volts above) than your remote could def be lower than 12v.

so just run a wire from my pos into my remote terminal? wont that make the amp stay on though?

yes, but thats just to test it out. You can unplug it afterwards. If the amp works fine, then it's def ur remote, if it's not, then its something else, lol.
ill try, just started pouring here as i was outside working on it so gonna be a bit of a delay lol

if it ends up being my remote wire not having enough voltage through it, what will i need to do? also if it was the rem wire.. how come my other amps are turning on and working fine? my front stage amp isnt having any problems and ive got the remote wire for my front stage amp working off of the same one as my AQ
