Fried my long lived JBL 1200.1 - Replacement suggestions?

Well my JBL 1200.1 finally went out after about 5 years of abuse and being moved from setups.. up in a cloud of white smoke //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

What would be a good replacement for this amp? I am powering a RE SE12 sub in a ported box.. use to power my 2x Adire Tempests (now sitting away for re-use someday)

I just bought a Sundown SAE-1200D. They seem to be held in high regard here so I hope it turns out to be everything that I have told it would be.

This is an easy one.

I have two RE SE D2's.

My JBL 1200.1 blew up on me.

I bought a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 that does 1486 watts on the birthsheet.

I am now pissed off why I never blew up the JBL amp a long time ago. Its a tie on which was the best upgrade. Going from TC Sounds TC1000's to RE SE's or going from the JBL to the Tantrum. Excellent upgrade

The Tantrum is an excellent choice for the RE SE's. I threw the PG amp on one of my RE SE's and it screamed.

1200 x 1 @ 2 ohms

1200 x 1 @ 4 ohms
