Approx RMS

You know that the rating of 14.4 volts is basically not real world?Unless you are running some serious electrical 13 volts is much more realistic

What is the point of this whole thread, it seems that you already have your answer in your mind and do not want to hear ours.

Was this basically a Show-Off thread.

I guess it worked, that is a nice amp - I like it

You happy now?
Yes, I know most amp rated at 14.4v.

Based on my research, everyone ALWAYS mention that MMATS is well underrated, which means it should produce more than 1400w.

I am not sure why you start the personal attack to me (plus your judging that I don't want to hear others' answers), but if you are not happy with this thread, then move on. That being said, this is NOT a show off thread, come on, what should I show off with that little amp? Many of you have over 6k RMS amp, so I have nothing to show off.

I simply want to get an estimate from someone more experience just by looking at the amp guts AND want to know whether its the same to calculate the RMS between blade and tube fuse.

Ill bet $20 bucks it will do at least 500rms @2ohms????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/reposthorse.gif.368c1dbb9d02cacf5006b3ed421cde0e.gif Nice amp brother..You could prob take it to a rept. car audio shop and get it clamped, as I would just to find out with good source of equiptment.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/slap.gif.87520e8ca8e90076ac30e777c0de5331.gif

I wasn't trying to attack you, sorry you felt that way.

However, I used math to give you an answer and you were not happy with it and wanted it to be more.

Based on the fusing there is no way in the known universe that this amp makes 3,000 watts RMS. Period, end of discussion, mathematically impossible.

OHMS LAW

Volts x Amps = Watts

That is just how it is

Unless it has a Flux Capacitor or some other new technology that is just how it is.

That amp, on its best day, can put out a continuous 1,400 watts give or take a few watts.

That is a lot of power - be happy, I would.

I totally agree this is not 3000w RMS.

I was thinking somewhere around 1600w RMS, until someone told me that the tube fuse is different than blade fuse, that's why I start this thread.

Plus, I also think that the little brother overpower MMATS 1400.1, so the little brother produce more than 1400w RMS (unless that MMATS DO NOT do rated power). That MAKE me believe that this power should produce more than 1600w RMS, but I want to see others' opinion based on the guts.

One thing, I never know that you can take the amp to car audio shop to get it clamped (if I know, I wouldn't even started this thread 0 given that the cost to clamp is about $20 or so). That being said, anyone know any shop in my area (Tacoma to Everett) to test my amp output?

the car audio shop has to have a clamp and a dmm and know how to do it. The local shop here learned from me other wise they wouldn't know how. I don't know of many shops that will know how to clamp.

You also need to factor in efficiency. One amp may draw 100 amps to do 1200 watts while another may draw 130 amps to make the same amount of power.....numbers are for example and exact....but yeah..
