The rf t15k. Why is it like 40000 when many comparable 12-16k amps are only 5000 new? I know with rf your paying for a name but still..

Yeah the small run and special capacitors make it expensive. It's a pretty cool amp regardless.

The technology, the name, clean power it produces, the exclusivity. Those Brazilian junk amps are no where near as nice. I still wouldn't buy one though.

Over a brazillian amp? Yeah it probably is. Those things are great for burps. They won't hold together for music.

I have no idea how much money they have into producing that amp, after marketing, patents, prototypes, ect ect. it could be very little profit for them, or a ton of profit. Only people that know is RF. Just to point out I know of 17,000 dollar 1200rms amplifiers, a ton of stuff never makes it to forums because of how cheap people are.

it's a concept built off of line load balancing turned to power supply compensation..

it's like having a 15kw amp that draws 300 amps constantly instead of a 15kw drawing 1500 to 2000amos dynamically.

mcintosh has one, Krell has one around there as well. I can't remember the specs but critical mass has one as well.
