I've never had a problem with them, other than them needing to be upgraded the day you get them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif That's how it is with most computers these days though.

No shit....makes me sick

I think i bout 2 1gb stick for like 200 bucks or something like 3 years ago and like a couple hundred bucks on HDs.....now its like dirt cheap

Gateway DX4200 Phenom Quad core (2.2Ghz) - 6Gb RAM (2Gb x 2 + 1Gb x 2) - 640Gb HDD - ATI Radeon HD 3450 (256Mb)
Not necessarily up to compete with the other, but you save $500. Would work great, for audio/video editing, surfing web, gaming, any thing for everyday use.
The HD 3450 sucks hardcore for gaming ... Most OEMs still use the old B2 stepping Phenoms which are about 20% slower clock-for-clock compared to the B3 stepping cores due to the TLB bug fix required on the B2s. Considering the Phenom B3s are already about 10% slower clock-for-clock compared to the 45 nm Core 2 Quads and considering you're looking at a 12% clock deficit to begin with, you're looking at a pretty large margin of processing capacity between the 2 systems, probably in the area of about 30-40% in favour of the Core 2 Quad.
Of course, not even taking into account less RAM, half the HDD capacity, signiciantly slower graphics card, etc.

i like this acer gaming one, dont know if they are selling it yet though but the case is a bamf IMO

but the one you posted skip, seems like a good deal on a desktop, lots of power there
That's a pretty crazy case. Would kinda be a pain to open it every time you need to access the optical drives and card reader.

I just showed it for a budget setup, never said it would be for hardcore gaming, never said it would compete with the previously posted computer, I actually said it wouldn't. Just wanted to show some money saving options, since it doesn't seem like he'll do any hard core gaming, or professional quality video/music editing (no offense to OP.)
