Anyone see a problem with me getting this computer?

I know you mentioned several times you didn't want to build, but what about starting with a barebone system? Just an option, I have used many Shuttle barebones, they are great & small if you need the space & SUPER easy to assemble.

Example below.

soooooo its only $50 less and i still have to put it together?
Actually it can be more because I didn't include an OS, I am not sure if you have Vista already on you plan to get a copy some how:)

The price can change higher or lower, I just used those parts for an example. You can use lesser brand/performance parts and get the price down.

If you do plan going this route, putting it together will be quick, even if you don't have much experience with building PCs. It will probably take longer to install the OS.

i personally would never spend 1000+ on a computer when i can build one to my liking for about half the cost .. but thats IMO

what are you trying to accomplish with a super high performance system ?? like what do you use your computer for??

I personally wouldn't get the Acer.
I would rather get one of these dells xps if you insist on going prebuilt.

The Dell XPS is definitely better quality. Slower CPU, half the RAM, and half the HDD capacity, though.
I'd probably still take the Dell over the Acer ...

I say pick up a Falcon Northwest Mach V w/ dual 3.2 GHz Quad Core CPUs, 16 GB of RAM, dual HD4870 X2s, 300 GB VelociRaptor + 1 TB HDDs, etc. for $13K ...

A guy on a few pages back priced out the same parts and it was only 50 bucks cheaper....and id have to put it together

novice video editing, play a few games, and download music.....dont do nothing fancy...but id like to know i could

I dont buy or upgrade my comp that often, i need a decent one to last a year or 2

I had this one now for like 5....its overheating badddd to where it shuts down when i render in decent quality on Vegas
