And, Ladd, the whole reason this became an issue for Kenny, then you, in the first place is because (whether or not your stupid, wordy eBay ad states that you charge tax), the purchase was made outside of eBay and Kenny paid what he was billed. Then, well after the fact, you wanted an additional payment that you "forgot to charge". Give me a break. Your arguments hold water like a burlap sack.

My company was told to charge sales tax on every order by our local state government because they are coming down pretty hard on the internet laws here in Utah. This kid Kenny Pollock recieved "all" of his items which I have all the tracking numbers to prove it. He sent me an email after recieving his items and thanking me for "hooking him up with a good deal". He has every right to dispute the sales tax, and I'm sure the state of Utah will have no problem explaining the "soon to be" new law to Mr. Pollock.

To my mind 'soon to be' is indicative of something that the Utah state legislature might have up for debate on the floor that the general populace assumes will pass - but hasn't yet. Mr. Kenny Pollock made a "huge" error by not reading my ebay payment description which clearly says "my company adds sales tax to all our transactions". He has conveniently tried to place his error and mistake of missing this important key of information, and trying to place the blame on my shoulders. Notice how Kenny doesn't say anything about that all my ebay auctions in payment description clearly state this about sales tax, and he still went a head and won the transaction and then tried to tell me he didn't have to pay it and didn't see that. Does this sound like my fault to you?

You cannot charge an additional fee, regardless of the purpose of that fee, AFTER THE FACT AND THE SALE IS ALREADY COMPLETE. That would be like going to Wal-Mart....buying whatever it is you went to buy....and paying for it. The NEXT time you go to Wal-Mart you are told, "The last time you were here we 'forgot' to charge you a fee for this, that, or the other - here's an invoice for the charges. Thanks, Have A Nice Day!" I have a very good relationship with my host, they're actually supporters of my web development company... I highly doubt some fraud is going to get the site taken down. In the event that it does happen, I will have it back up in hours with a new host. People have a right to be warned.

Your transaction didn't take place on Ebay. Ebay has NOTHING to do with your business with Kenny- NOTHING on your Ebay auctions holds any bearing with your transaction with him.

Whether or not people are emailing you, threatening your family, has no bearing on the issue. Kenny did not mandate anyone to harass you VIA email. Your email address is publicly displayed, it's your own problem if you get threatening emails.

And, considering this transaction didn't take place on Ebay, rather, a private, 2 party transaction online, you have no right to attempt to charge his credit card a second time.

You, Wholesale Rims, need to bite the bullet and take the hit here- you, as an exclusively online business, should have taken the proper steps in securing that this transaction was done accordingly. The second you took payment without a record of transaction policies (i.e. Ebay), you screwed yourself.

Also, you can get in very serious trouble for creating an Ebay auction (which I'm sure they still have on file), stating Kenny's personal information, Credit Card #, and other private information.

But, I'm sure you knew all of this.

Had Ladd not posted here I would've "dropped it" but I contacted eBay and got connected to the same person somebody here talked to when Ladd posted my credit card details. Let's just say, Ladd's eBay account is gone. She gave me a link to post his details and her supervisor and the fraud protection department are looking into it.

Hey guys, Im not a real big member on CA, but I did support Kenny's scammer problem by posting a link to the Wheel and Tire section of my car audio fourm "Sound Decisions" which admittedly is more geared to SPL & compeition, and not modding vehicles (in relation to Kenny's rims).....so anyways you can probably understand when I recieved this email today in my general site email account from Ladd Murdock himself.
