drag it!
I was looking for rims and spinners for my car... and being cheap, I checked eBay.
This guy was offering new rims and spinners with a warranty and they had an 800 number, for a very cheap price. $1,399 + $194 for shipping. I was sold! The auction ended before I gathered the cash to buy the rims, so I emailed the guy and asked some questions, and he said he accepts credit cards.
It was a little suspicious, but I figured with all the protection of modern-day credit cards, why not take the good deal? I got a tracking number and got the rims and spinners, brand new as promised. I got them mounted and all and I'm very happy with them.
... I emailed him because I needed one lug. He didn't email me back until a few days later and it wasn't about the lug. He told me he was charging my credit card again for tax he "forgot to mention." I told him that was unacceptable, and pointed him to the email where I asked "is that all I have to pay" and he replied "yes" to... and he didn't care. He said he apologized and if I dispute the charges his lawyer will sue me, blah blah. Usually I don't care about these kind of things, but he has my credit card number.
Any ideas?
