anyone else think isreal is trippin?

Well.
Nice point.

HOWEVER, consider also, that the israeli 'force' that went in, had just suffered one of the worst genicides ever. If not, THE worst.

Please do not make it out like the Israeli's are terrorists. THEY are the only one's that know that you must fight fire, with fire, when it comes to terrorism.

Where has peace talkings led to, over the years? Several small periods of peace... MOST OF THE TIME, being broken by Palestinians.
Also, if you have followed the 'peace talks' you would notice that several times, Israel has backed plans to make Palestinians they're OWN nation.

Is a recent article about Olmert backing a plan, as of Jan 25, 2006.

Wonderbread pwned this thread, its almost always true that those who know almost nothing about the issue view Israel as terrorists.

YOU CAN'T WORK WITH PEOPLE WHO DO NOT WANT PEACE. THE ONLY SOLUTION THEY WANT IS THE DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL.. WHY IS IT HARD TO UNDERSTAND ISRAEL'S POSITION?

ill kind of wait till wunderbread gets back, since he pwned the thread and all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

but if israel has just lived through its own genocide pre 1947

(the worst ever is debateable by the way those bones floating in the atlantic ocean, and under the new york stock exchange may say different but thats besides the point as both were horrendous and I hate comparing hate to hate)

why create so much harm to an existing of people? now I understand some may say palestine was not a "country" by "western" definitions, but lets say they were a commune by western definition----does that make it okay to displace thousands of people because the bible says so? or did the palestinians have no right to the land they lived on?

or do the present day israelis have all right to that land becaue of ideology, refugee protection and a little western clout who needs a pseudo western presence in a non christian territory that happens to have a lot of liquid energy resources?

simplyfing the issue/may layers of course, but the questions stands

#2) why must someone "back a creation" of a nation for you, when you were already there? I doubt the average american would be to happy with that old tea tax lol

#3) why would you want peace and or choose to recognize a nation---- when you are being occupied (by palestinian account, israelis dont beleive this obvioulsy) and your life is dictated by a capital based economy/ideology that you dont want to be apart of, but ultimately dictates your existance?

kind of an odd quandry id think

not saying I agree with any of the actions of hamas, or israel for that matter

but it might be prudent to really study the entire history of this area, not just the present conflict and rather nauseating free flinging of "everyone is a terrorists" speech----always two sides to the history book

those people in palestine albeit not christian or catholic or even western morally based, are still people with children and aspirations, I kind of wonder what people would think if the US was the occupied state post the 1776, or what california would be like had that small thing called hidalgo guadalupe and preceeding wars had not occured

or what those darn near extinct folk , formally known as indigenous north americans, choctahs, seminole, sioux etc think about the current us population explosion

wonder if they called geronimo, and sitting bull etc.. terrorist on there own soil??--- before it became our/"her" soil??

conquering occurs, displacement occurs, religious shhifts occur, throughout history but dont expect the losers (as palestine and iraq will ultimately be) to be happy about it, and go silently

and while I really like to look at the whole story, I hope folks dont think im on the side of hamas/palestine or israel , as I personally think they both have begot a never ending cycle of violence that will not end, unless the nuke the entire middle eastern area outside of our buddies the cousins of the carlyles the ladin fmaily and various sheiks of saudi arabia of course lol

That's crazy talk! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

However, it's entirely too true.

I would like to see the Mossad reinstated. Without a doubt, one of the deadliest military groups ever. And, probably has one of the highest success records in history. Let Israel use the Mossad like they did in the last 80s, and 90s, so that we don't ever hear about the deaths.

Just remember Israel is always the guilty devil and the rest of the middle eastern region consists of saints.

I think Israel should be giving and give their country away and build an island. So should the USA. Afterall we took it from Mexico and the Native Americans.

Why don't the surrounding arab countries take in the palistinian refugees?

I think that picture says it perfectly...

1) Newtitan, can we please see your law diploma certifying you as an expert in international law? Until then, keep your opinions on the legality of the actions in your head, where they belong.
2) Ali1, Jews were "dropped off" in 1948 for the first time? If you've been to Israel, you know full well that that's a load of crap. If you actually know anything about Islam, then you also know full well that that's a load of crap. There is documented historical (secular) information and archaelological evidence of Jewish existence in Israel dating back hundreds upon hundreds of years. Dating back longer than Christian or Islamic claims to the land. How do I know this? Simple fact. Islam and Christianity spawned from Judaism. The three religions have a common base and split away around the time of Muhammed and Jesus (give or take a few decades).

3) Everyone, your tax dollars go everywhere, not just to Israel.

4) This is NOT over one single soldier having been captured. Sure it may have started as such, but since then (before each major Isareli military action) there have been other kidnappings, etc. Case in point, Wednesday's Hezbollah ambush, killing eight, injuring two and capturing two israeli soldiers. This was a cross-border attack, led by a paramilitary terrorist organization supported by the Lebanese government. In addition, a 19 year old Jewish settler was kidnapped and killed by the Hamas militants promtping the initial Israeli incursions and offensives.

The Israeli military makes it a part of their policy to avoid harm to noncombatants and to make every attempt to preserve inoccent lives. Unfortunately, the militant terrorists make no such considerations for human life. They bomb cafes, discos, markets, buses and other public places. Don't comdemn Israel for destroying infrastructure (which they built, as an aside), such as bridges and airport runways; these are targets of military and strategic importance with careful consideration played to the preservation of innocent life.

Israel has said, time and time again, that peace will only come to the country when attacks on its population end. If you ask me, the only way for Israel to assert her place in the region (and it IS her place, but that is neither here nor there in this debate), is to flex her military muscle and preserve her borders.

Look what happens when you run a country in a democratic, relatively secular manner; you end up with a strong economy, military power, and the ear of the United States. Look what happens when you run a theocracy or a government based solely on the destruction of Israel - you get blown up by, you guessed it, Israel. This is also what happens when you flick peas (in this case, home made rockets) at the big kid on the block (in this case Israel) every ****ed day. One day, they'll wake up and stomp you back into the ground from which you came.
For once, I completely agree 100% with you. Very well put.

I severly doubt it...Israel has one of the most powerful militaries in the region, and backing by the US.

The world is in a pretty harsh position right now, kinda like the first hints of WWII, all that is needed is a definite spark to set it off.

That picture wasn't meant to show the Arab nation's might over Israel, it was meant to show how silly the Arab world looks when they want Israel wiped off the map for taking Arab land.

LOL trust me I'm definately pro Israel on this one, not only because of the facts behind the conflict, but also because my father was a tank driver for the IDF.
