Any tips for first timer building a ported box?

OP... as stated before, screws are much better than nails, depending on the application. if your running a somewhat lower powered sub, nail will suffice... but if you get into any higher powered subs (1000 watts and up), i would go with screws. also, when tuning your box, dont forget to take into account your sub, wood, and bracing displacement.
