another sub wiring question

i want to use 2 jl12w6v2, which are dual 4ohms, i have yet to find a diagram to wire both of them in either parallel or series, to get a 2ohm output. the wiring calculator at 12volt is for svc not dvc coils, does any know, where i can find a diagram if possible? thanks.

well, after reading jl audio sites, found out the dvc per sub was wired out at nominal 2 ohm output, thus wiring them in series, will get me 4 ohm output, is what i was looking for for my ppi a1200.2 art amp, which will output 1200 watts at 4ohm input, not 2 ohms like i thought. in 2 ohm input it actually decreased to 600 total bridged, instead of 1200@4ohm.

so to sum it up i thought i was looking for 2 ohm input, when it should have been 4 ohm to get the max. bridged wattage out of my amp.

To further simplify this if you have a pair of subs that each sub is a DVC 4 Ohm driver they cannot be wired to a nominal 2 Ohm load together so the amp's output at that load is a rather immaterial figure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You choices for a final load using those two subs are 1 Ohm, 4 Ohms, and 16 Ohms.

did some reading, and that was what i came up with also, thanks.
well, i hook up the subs today in series, but using the sub wiring calcutor, it came up 8 ohms. 2 dvc4 ohm subs wired in series, it comes up to 8 ohms, and it parallel it give me 2 ohms, is there a special way to wire it so i can get 4 ohms? or am i using the calculator wrong.

i found out that running in series was incorrect? got the correct diagram to get final 4 ohms, after it was all re-wired, can it be checked with a dmm to make sure the ohm rating is correct? or not possible?

also it was recommended for jl audio subs not to be wired in series to be avoided, well i did mistakenly wired them/series and played music on them during trial testing, was there any harm done to them?

anyone can offer some advice on the jumper wires on each sub?
